HEAT TREATING SEAMLESS ROLLED RINGS
Ringmasters houses our own heat treat department in order to process a wide variety of material types and sizes to exacting standards with reliable, repeatable results for our customers.
Heat treatment is a controlled process used to alter the microstructure of metals and alloys to impart properties that benefit a component’s working life. Benefits of heat treatment include increased surface hardness, temperature resistance, improved strength and better ductility.
Heat Treatment Capabilities
Our heat treatment operations include nine furnaces and six quench tanks managed by experienced employees who have a real understanding of customer requirements. Ringmasters performs the following post-forging thermal processes:
Normalizing
Normalizing and tempering
Normalizing and double tempering
Double normalize and tempering
Quench and tempering
Quench and double tempering
Stress relieving
Annealing

Solution annealing
